Police have launched a manhunt for two inmates who escaped from the Kerugoya Prison, Central Kenya, on Monday morning.
Three inmates had escaped, but one was arrested.
Top police boss Brigadier Rtd John Kebaso Warioba is trying to establish circumstances that led to the inmates’ escape.
The two are accused of murder and robbery with violence in the death of a Kirinyaga University student earlier this year.
They were scheduled to appear before the Kerugoya High Court on Tuesday, October 11.
