Rising from an emergency meeting of our great party held at Idogbo, on Saturday 31st August 2019, the reinvigorated leadership of APC Ikpoba-Okha resolved to formally salute President Buhari for finding distinguished Niger Deltans worthy for their meritorious appointment into the Niger Delta Development Commission board.
Apart from imposters and political renegades, all free-born Ikpoba-Okha people will naturally welcome the news of these appointees, and it is incumbent on us as leaders and members of our Party’s chapter to register our immeasurable gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari accordingly.
As the second largest OIL and Gas producing Local Government Area in Edo State, we consider the appointment of one of APC staunch leaders in Edo State and a thoroughbred community development advocate (Chief Victor Ekhator) as exceedingly deserving of this call to higher service.
We call on the general public especially pioneer leaders of Nigerian Press to unreservedly disregard every uncomplimentary remark against the appointees as we are convinced that they were painstakingly selected by Patriots of host communities of Niger Delta oil and gas. Let us also specifically appeal to the Nigeria Guide of Editors to double their conscientious zeal in the press profession by disregarding agents of retrogression who churns out negativity at all times and thereby painting Nigeria in despicable light. Dr Pius Odubu and Bernard Okumagba are exceptionally capable hands to steer the board as Chairman and Managing Director respectively judging by amazing testimonies of their previous public engagements, hence we thank President Buhari for being able to fetch these highly detribalized and magnificent public affairs managers.
We urge the appointees to exceedingly perform in a manner that will make their unseen haters bury their heads in shame. We thank Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s leadership of the APC and other community leaders who made it possible for Edo State to be deservingly rewarded with the board chairmanship of the Commission.
