Fifty-one days After The Nigerian Army took over the troubled Okuama Community, following the killing of seventeen soldiers, troops finally pulled out of the community.
The governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, made this known by briefing journalists in Asaba, the state capital.
It was about fifty-five days of hell for the Okuama Community when soldiers occupied it over the gruesome killing of seventeen military personnel who were purportedly on a peace mission between the Okuama and Okoloba Community over a long land dispute between both.

The troops finally withdrew after so much pressure from both the home front and the international community, which was manifested through the federal government’s intervention.
Speaking with reporters in Asaba, the Governor Of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Chief Of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, who facilitated the withdrawal of the military from the troubled Okuama Community, adding that the people of Okuama can now go back to their respective home and charge them to maintain peace.
Governor Oborevwori also assured the people that the government would provide all the necessary assistance to make their return home smooth.
The Soldiers in their numbers are pulling out and heading to their different Barracks.
