Residents of the Ukhun community in Esan West local government area of Edo State on Sunday trooped out in their numbers to cry out in protest over the killing of a 60-year-old Mr Lycee Aliu by suspected criminal herdsmen in his farm on Saturday after another man was previously attacked and injured by the criminal herdsmen the protesters lamented the evasion of the herdsmen which has prevented them from going to their farms.
Protesting over the killing of a 60-year-old Mr Lycee Aliu, who was shot dead on his farm by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Saturday and Mr Bello Obadan, who was previously attacked on his farm, residents of the Ukhun community trouped out in their numbers and match to the palace of the onojie of Ukhun, HRH, Thomas Aboiralor Omoijade to register their grievances.
The onojie of Ukhun, HRH, Thomas Aboiralor Omoijade, who spoke through his son, Prince Sunny Aboiralor, lamented the security situation in and around the community and promised to channel the matter to the state government.
The wife of the victim, Mrs. Kate Aliu, lamented the death of her husband and called for justice.
Meanwhile, some security agents were seen around the community, hopefully in response to the incident.
