Retirees protest against Unpaid Gratuity in Osun

The 2011/2012 Osun State forum of retirees under the leadership of Com. Sola Olojede, took a peaceful protest through the street of Osogbo to show dissatisfaction over the refusal of the state government to pay their pension and gratuity.

The 2011/2012 set of the pensioners took to the street starting from Ayetoro area of the town, through to other parts of the town, holding different placards with inscriptions like “Pay us our Gratuity”, “Aregbesola, have Mercy on Us”, “Rescue Us we are dying” among several others.

Com. Olojede in his address on behalf of the Retirees make pleas to the Federal Government to intervene and plead on their behalf to the Aregbesola led-government to pay their pensions and gratuity With immediate effect.

Olojede said “the state has been paying the retirees half pension since 2015 and that there is also the record of unpaid gratuity from 2008 to 2012.
