A Nigerian army has dismissed a soldier for allegedly stealing his colleague’s mobile phone days before being decorated with a new rank.
According to a reliable source, Lance Corporal Kenewenimo, in Army formation at Lokoja, Kogi state, with a service number (12NA/67/3446), was dismissed recently.

He allegedly stole a phone belonging to one of his colleagues while on a course sponsored by the army authorities.
The source added that Kenewenimo was recently promoted to a new rank of Corporal and was expected to be decorated officially a few days before his dismissal.
“He was dismissed a day before his decoration as a Corporal for stealing of phone while on course,” the source said.
