STUDENTS PROTEST: AAU Medical Graduates Protest Non-Induction After Months Of Final Exams

Medical graduates from the College of Medicine, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, on Thursday, trooped out to protest their non-induction after their final exams in August 2024.

The protest left workers stranded for hours as the protesters blocked the entrance to the administrative block.

The protesters, who are graduates of clinical science, at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, converged on the entrance to the administrative block, preventing workers from gaining access, said they were 2015 set who graduated in August 2024, after nine years in school, and yet, the school had refused to induct them into the medical profession.

The aggrieved students said they won’t relent until their fate is spelt out by the management of the institution.

Addressing the protesters, the divisional police officer, Iruekpen police division, SP. Arefa Ekufebakumor commended them for their peaceful conduct and promised to get involved in the matter for a possible solution.

However, responding on behalf of the school management, the head of information, public relations and protocol, Otunba Mike Aladenika, said, the school management is doing everything possible to get them inducted in the shortest possible time.
