Preparations for the 24th African Senior Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana (May 12-17, 2026), have intensified as Nigeria’s team has officially begun training with their camp opening on Thursday in Lagos.
Following a gruelling campaign, the 24 athletes who featured at the World Relays in Botswana moved directly into camp upon their return on Wednesday afternoon.
Training kicks off Thursday evening (today) at the Yabatech Sports Complex, with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) moving swiftly to solidify the squad.
