Three Months After, Idris Emmanuel Abducted In Okpilla Still Missing

  • Police commence investigation as family cries out

A 35-year-old man, Idris Emmanuel who was abducted in Okpilla, Etsako East Local government area of Edo state since 11 November 2020 is yet to be found.

Standard Gazette Crime Festus Alenkhe monitoring the development reports that Emmanuel Idris was lured out and abducted by yet to be identified persons and taken to an unknown destination.

The report revealed that, since November 11, 2020, the family members, friends and associates of Emmanuel have been searching for him.

His disappearance was first reported at Okpilla, missing person case was launched in most police stations in Edo North including Auchi police station.

But all efforts to have him rejoin his family proved abortive as the various search teams came back without any result.

The family are now calling on the Edo state police command’s anti-kidnapping squad to take up the case and help search for their son, using every lawful Investigative procedure.

They said Emmanuel Idis is a young man who couldn’t hurt anyone to deserve his abduction from the locality.

They expressed optimism in the ability of the police to fish out all those responsible for the sudden abduction of the young man.

Those who saw the Emmanuel Idris on 11 November 2020 before his abduction said, he is full of life and wondered why the evil people decided to snatch him.

In an interview with Standard Gazette crime correspondent, the father of the young man, Mr Idris said, he was shocked to hear that, some persons lured his son out for the abduction and appealed to the police to thoroughly investigate the incident.

He described Emmanuel Idris as a dedicated and committed child who knows when to stop in every one of his activities.

He said his only hope to have his son back to the family is the police.
