The Mdzough U Tiv Worldwide said it has received with shock the news of the kidnapping of a four-year-old girl, Miss Atti Winfred Ngohile, in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.

Atti was kidnapped by yet-to-be-identified persons last week after being lured with a biscuit.

In a Press Statement signed by Nicholas Ishom, Media Assistant to the President General of Tiv Apex body, Chief Iorbee Ihagh demanded the immediate release of the child by those keeping her hostage.

Chief Ihagh, a former commissioner of police, lamented the continued deterioration of security in the state.

The statement further called for a full-scale investigation into the child’s sudden disappearance and demanded the arrest of one Mr Sylvester Tyoor, who was alleged to have brought some ladies to lodge in a hotel closer to the child’s father’s house.

” This baby was suspected to have been kidnapped by the ladies that were brought to lodge in the hotel by Mr. Sylvester Tyoor , who is an indigene of the community .” the statement added.

The Association called on the security agencies in the state to expand their dragnet by curbing every suspected place and rescuing the child.

It would be recalled that the family of the embattled child cried to the Association after waiting several days without any positive response from the police about the whereabouts of the child.
