The Toma Foundation in partnership with the Edo State Ministry of Education has commenced a literary/poetry reality show for students between the ages of 11 and 18.
The show termed, ‘Wake Up The Giant, Edo Youths Got Talent Season 1,’ is to revive and encourage the reading culture among students in the state.
Speaking during the audition yesterday at Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area, the foundation founder, Mrs Stella Ebuetse, said the show was also meant to boost student’s confidence in communication.
She said, “This educational reality show is all about poetry, it will see students putting life into lines and hence develop their delivery skills, awake a sense of pride in our culture and inform them that educational activities can be favourably rewarding than beauty contest, music and dance.
”
