According to the tweet, the innocent child was not only subjected to the unspeakable act but was also brutally beaten and warned to keep silent.

The child’s pain and fear were finally disclosed to her father, leaving him devastated. To compound the family’s suffering, the father faced intimidation and threats from unknown assailants after he had the courage to report the incident to the Ajiwe Police Station.

This distressing turn of events has left him disillusioned and questioning the integrity of the school’s administration. He agonizes over the school’s alleged attempts to sweep this appalling crime under the rug, wondering about the safety of other students who may be facing similar situations.

Police confirm arrest of Security Guard

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the arrest of the accused security guard, assuring that he is currently in custody.

The authorities have conducted a medical examination on the traumatized pupil, hoping to gather crucial evidence to secure a conviction. Hundeyin reiterated the commitment of the police force to base their actions on concrete evidence, striving to establish the truth beyond any reasonable doubt.

Expressing concern for the young victim’s well-being, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Agency conveyed its involvement in a statement on Twitter. They shared that upon receiving the distressing report through their toll-free line, they acted swiftly, ensuring the child’s access to necessary medical and psychosocial support.

Additionally, the Ajiwe FSU Police Division was alerted to commence an investigation into the matter. The suspect’s transfer to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command is expected before the case is officially presented in court on Monday. As the case progresses, the agency pledges to keep the public informed, holding onto the hope that justice will prevail in the face of this terrible injustice.

Seeking answers and accountability, concerned individuals attempted to contact the school through the phone number listed on their Instagram page. However, their efforts were met with disappointment, as two calls went unanswered, and a third was answered by a hostile male who claimed the number was private and should not have been associated with the school’s page. This discouraging response only deepens the sense of sorrow and betrayal surrounding this tragic incident.

As the investigation continues, the identity of the phone number’s owner, revealed by Truecaller as Promise, raises more questions than answers. In this bleak and painful chapter, the plight of the young victim and her family looms large, casting a sombre shadow over the community.

The scars left behind by this unfathomable act of violence will undoubtedly take time to heal, while the search for justice becomes a beacon of hope in an otherwise bleak landscape.
