Two died in Ibadan Accident

Two people were feared dead on Sunday afternoon, when a black Toyota jeep with registration number Lagos BDG 594 AC fell off a bridge at the Sawmill side of the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, killing one of the occupants and an okada rider instantly.

NAIJA CENTER NEWS (NCN) gathered that the victims were an okada rider, with motorcycle’s registration number Oyo BDJ 638 QA and one of the four occupants of the car.

Eyewitnesses informed NAIJA CENTER NEWS (NCN)' source that the Jeep, which was coming from Iwo road axis of the expressway, had one of its tyres bursted, leading to its loss of control and subsequent falling off the bridge.

NAIJA CENTER NEWS (NCN) correspondent gathered that the car was “seen somersaulting when one of its tyres bursted and fell off in-between the bridges. As it landed, it fell on the okada rider, who was trying to carry a passenger going to Alakia area.” The okada rider was said gave up the ghost instantly.

Also, our News correspondent was informed that the remains of the victims had been deposited at a morgue, while those injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
