A man yet to be identified jumped into a canal in the Festac area of Lagos State on Sunday morning.
The crowed gathered surrounding the canal as rescue workers tried to save him from drowning

According to Punch report, the reason for the man’s action was uncleared as he dived in at Festac Link Bridge.
An eyewitness who narrated the incident said, “Many local divers tried to save him.’’
Whether his body was recovered or not is unknown at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Nigerian police in Lagos, Mr. Olarinde Famous-Cole confirmed that the command received a report regarding the incident.
Olarinde said “I think it was a case of a man who fell into a canal. We are still trying to get more information on it.’’
He also could not confirm if the man died or was saved by the rescue team.
