The All Progressives Congress APC party chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed the details of his visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President hosted the former governor of Lagos at the presidential villa on Sunday.
They met at the president’s official residence before proceeding to a closed-door meeting.
The former Lagos State Governor, however, noted that the purpose of his visit was to welcome the president back from his trip to Saudi Arabia where he went for a lesser hajj.
Tinubu said he also thanked Buhari for visiting him in London after his medical procedure.
“Only to thank the president, first of all, for his visit to my residence in London after the surgery and wishing me well, lifting my spirit and indeed what an exceptional leader will do to collaborate. So that’s what I came for and to welcome him back from the trip from Saudi,” Tinubu said after the meeting.
“No politics, just a courtesy call to thank him in a big way, that’s all.”
The APC chieftain returned to Nigeria on October 9 — three weeks ago after undergoing knee surgery in London, United Kingdom.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
