No doubt that IPOB doesn’t exist without local and International support, which has given the separatist movement some vibes in its organization and strategy. Who are those behind Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB? The Federal Government has now vowed to expose and prosecute those backing leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed made this known on Thursday while speaking on Kanu’s re-arrest in Abuja. According to him, the hammer of the law would be laid on those collaborating with the separatist leader to undermine Nigeria’s sovereignty and unity.
Lai Muhammed noted that such individuals or groups will be apprehended irrespective of their social status.
“We can tell you that the forensic investigation carried out so far has revealed a treasure trove of information on the proscribed IPOB leader and his collaborators. This was made possible through the collaboration of Nigerian security and intelligence agencies,” the minister stated.
Nnamdi Kanu was bundled down to Nigeria earlier this week to face charges relating to terrorism and illegal possession of fire arms.
The IPOB leader jumped bail in 2017 and left the country following an alleged raid on his Abia State country home by the military.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
