Woman in custody after stabbing lover to death with kitchen knife in Edo State

A woman has stabbed her lover to death in Edo State.
Favour Oyiur, in police custody, allegedly murdered her love, Paul Handsom, 25, on 23 July at about 7.30pm in Auchi, Etsako West Local government area.
Favour escaped to Benin after stabbing Paul with a kitchen knife.
The deceased’s body is deposited in a mortuary, a police statement said.
The Commissioner of police CP Abutu Yaro ordered the arrest of the alleged murderer, who was traced and caught in Edo State on 24 July 2022 at about 10:45pm.
The police said the suspect made useful information and would be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Abutu Yaro, described the act as “shocking,” assuring the suspect would be prosecuted.
