2015 elections: Lamido-Amaechi presidential posters flood Minna

Promoters of the Alhaji Sule Lamido and Rotimi Amaechi presidential ticket in 2015 has taken their campaign to Minna, the Niger State capital, where the streets are flooded with the duo’s posters.

Lamido and Amaechi are incumbent governors of Adamawa and Rivers states. They have denied any plan to run.

Residents of the town woke up to find in strategic places the A2 size intimidating posters.

The posters appealed for Nigerians’ support for the Lamido/Amaechi ticket.

The posters, which have the logo of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also carries the photographs of Lamido and Amaechi.

It reads: ‘’Support Alhaji Sule Lamido and Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi for President 2015.’’

Efforts to get the sponsors of the posters were fruitless as nobody in the PDP was ready to own up to pasting them.

When contacted on phone, the state Secretary of the PDP, Malam Aminu Yusuf, claimed that the state branch of the party was ignorant of the poster.

‘’As I am talking to you now, I am in Kontagora attending a zonal meeting of our party. We don’t know anything about any poster. Whose poster are you talking about?’’ he queried.
