There was a mild drama on Wednesday at the National assembly as the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari presented 2019 Budget appropriation.

Trouble started when Buhari, while addressing the joint session, listed the achievement of his administration.
The lawmakers, mainly opposition, interrupted the President with a chorus “Propaganda” and some even called him “grass cutter” referring to
scandal which the last Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal
As soon as he mentioned his achievement, there was a big chorus, ‘No” and the reaction attracted a clash from the lawmakers from the All Progressives Congress.
Meanwhile, Buhari’s attempt to calm the situation failed as the lawmakers continued to boo him. The President reminded them that they were on National TV, adding the incident will be watched across the world.
“The world is watching us and we are supposed to be above this.” He warned.
As the President continued, he touched another sensitive area of his achievement. He mentioned how his administration is fighting corruption, which attracted another chorus ‘propaganda, which corruption are you fighting’? ‘
The President also alleged that his administration has touched the 36 states of the federation through a series of road construction.
When he said, “We have weathered the storms and made progress on every front,” They screamed, “Nooooo! Boooo!”
Then he said, “The economy has recovered well,” the lawmakers screamed again.
