ABUJA – The Kaduna State governor, Mallam El-Rufai has described the move by a former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar to decamp from APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as meaningless.
The governor described Atiku as a serial contestant who would not be able to lure any of the APC governors to supporting his presidential aspiration.
El-Rufai disclosed this while addressing state house correspondents in Abuja.

“There is not one governor in APC that is going to go with Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
“The only governor that he will think will go with him, the governor of Adama State has already endorsed Buhari for the next election, and there are many governors, I will not mention their numbers but a majority of the APC governors have already taken a position that the President should run for a second time in office.
“We are grateful for the almighty God that the question about his health has been put to rest, he is getting better every day.
“I am curious to know which APC governor will go with Atiku.
“The APC has equal opportunity for everyone and in his statement when leaving the APC, he had made reference to the memo I wrote to the President in 2016 where I was calling on the President to reach out to the party leaders that feel aggrieved and I mentioned him, Asiwaju and many others.
“All the others are still in APC because they believe in the direction of the party, they believe we have come to save the country from a very bad situation but the former Vice President is always looking for an opportunity to contest. He is a serial contestant and we wish him luck”
