Bola Tinubu secures 370 delegates, what does that mean?

Bola Tinubu, the leader of the All Progressives Congress, has submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms for the party's presidential primary election set for the end of May.

On Wednesday, Tinubu presented the forms to the party at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

He was represented by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives from the Ikeja Federal Constituency; Babachir Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation; and Nuhu Ribadu, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Tinubu gathered 370 delegates from across the country to finalize his presidential nomination paperwork. The ruling party had previously demanded that presidential hopefuls submit their expression of interest and nomination forms with the signatures of 10 statutory delegates from each state and the Federal Capital Territory as a requirement of doing so.

This ultimately implies that the APC Chieftain has a strong support base to decide the primary elections in an already congested lineup.

Tinubu was reportedly the first to submit his N100m presidential form among 28 aspirants on the platform of the APC.
