Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has won the APC Presidential Primaries with over 1000 votes cast.
The convention, which began on Monday, June 6th, 2020, in Eagles Square in Abuja, featured Presidential contenders from the APC vying for a spot to represent the party in the upcoming 2023 Nigerian General Elections.
While a few applicants bowed out in favour of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, those who did not were left to compete for the position by vote. Voting ended in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and the votes were then sorted and counted.
While the amount of votes is being cross-checked following an initial count at the time of filing this article, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the Primaries by a large margin and will be representing the APC in the 2023 General Elections.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
