President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a 75-year-old Professor as the new Chief of Staff.
Ibrahim Gambari is to replace the late Abba Kyari who died after contracting COVID-19 upon his return from Germany.
Gambari was the Minister for External Affairs between 1984 to 1985, that means when Buhari was the military head of state.

The new Chief of Staff, expected to resume on Wednesday was also a former lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1977-1980.
Thisday reports that Gambari met with Buhari on Tuesday morning at the state house in Abuja.
