Breaking: Buhari in a close-door meeting with Bola Tinubu

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a close-door meeting with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is also present at the meeting.

The meeting between the trio is ahead of the formal presidential campaign flag-off later in the week. in Jos, Plateau State.

Mr Tinubu and Abdullahi visit the President to brief him of the flag-off and the nitty-gritty of the campaign.

Mr Buhari had been away in the United Kingdom and had only returned to Nigeria this weekend.

Mr Buhari is expected to be available during the flag-off. "He already publicly declared he will personally lead Tinubu/Shettima's campaign throughout Nigeria enroute the February 2023 polls, a official of the Presidential villa told Standard Gazette.

Mr Tinubu and Shettima's ticket has caused outrage among Nigerians who believed Muslim/Muslim ticket violates the long standing shuffle of Christian/Muslim or Muslim/Christian ticket.
