The crisis in the Kogi state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party is far from over, as Muhammad Sani Gambo, who came second in the state Congress election, said he remains the authentic State Chairman of PDP and asked to be sworn In immediately.
Gambo, cautioned against impersonation by Enemona Anyebe, said he has been parading himself as the State Chairman of the Party even when the matter challenging his mischievous emergence as Chairman in an election he didn’t participate in is ongoing in court.

While pointing out that the NWC should call Anyebe and his cohorts in the Kogi PDP parading him as Chairman to desist, pointing out that his fraudulent actions are making the party laugh.
Gambo said his emergence as second runner-up and who should be sworn in as Kogi PDP Chairman was divine. He noted that illegality would no longer be allowed to fester in the party and added that Anyebe was never qualified to be chairman.
Gambo wondered who could have been more mischievous between the one who had a clean slate to contest and the one who was not cleared to contest.
“An individual who disobeyed court order, was not screened for lack of qualification to contest, was barred by a competent court from contesting and having not screened and to contest, was further stopped by the NWC from being Inaugurated, would be mischievously parading himself as Chairman, as heights of impunity”, He claimed.
Gambo disclosed in a statement while reacting to an interview by Enemona on Arise Television and a statement signed by Alhaji Tijani Aruwa where they alleged that Hon. Muhammad was only being mischievous by addressing the Press Conference and issuing releases as mischief; however, he described the actions of Enemona who was not a candidate but have paraded himself as Chairman as the greatest mischief ever in political history.
“I was the first runner-up in the August 31 Congress. I should be Sworn In immediately because nature abhores vacuum. It is criminal for Anyebe to have ever paraded himself. Anyone that has ever recognized him as Chairman is also criminally culpable”.
“I call on well meaning members of the public to note that Anyebe was never and can never be Chairman of Kogi PDP because he didn’t and was never a contestant in the August 31 Congress. It is unfortunate that the said Anyebe and PDP will ask me to wait for the outcome of the court before I’m being sworn in”.
“I’m happy that in his reaction, Anyebe said the matter challenged his absurdity in assuming the Chairmanship of Kogi PDP forcefully is in court. Nobody should, therefore, recognize Anyebe as Chairman, and since he knows that the matter is in court, why is he parading himself as Chairman? At one point, he presented flags to Candidates of our Party, and at another time, he sneaked into the NWC meeting in Abuja. These actions all amount to mischief of the highest order, so I called on security agencies to arrest him if he does impersonate again.
“Let me place on record that the NWC stepped him down on the day of the Inauguration of the newly elected executive Members. I’m the duly elected Chairman and should be sworn in by the NWC to perform my responsibility because Enemona was never a contestant”. He explained.
Gambo, therefore, called on the NWC, all the relevant National and State organs of the PDP and constitutional lawyers to wade into the matter in Kogi, cautioned against the illegality ongoing in the PDP, pointing out that if not checked, the PDP will not present candidates for future election as it happened in other States, asked that he be sworn in as the Kogi State PDP Chairman having been so elected at the Congress.
