Edo state transition committee has asked Edo Governor-elect Senator Monday Okpebholo to do a thorough review of the state’s local and foreign debts, which are all accounted for by the outgoing government.
This formed part of recommendations of the reports by the Edo state transition committee presented to Senator Okpevholo on Monday ahead of his inauguration.

According to Dr Odubu, the chairman of the APC team, the report of twenty pages and eight hundred pages annexure recommends, amongst other things, the review of foreign and local debt of the state, the World Bank-funded Edo best project, the memoranda of central and Stella Obasanjo hospital, as well as the state-owned procurement agency.
Edo state Governor-elect, sen. Monday, Okpebholo promised to look into the report.

The twenty-four-member transition committee, inaugurated in October 2024, was to provide documents needed for a seamless transition of government in the state.
The report Presentation by the committee is ahead of Tuesday’s inauguration of Monday Okpebholo as Edo state governor and Denis Idahosa as deputy governor.
