Former President Goodluck Jonathan has given his first comment concerning the Rivers State governorship election result declaring Nyesom Wike as the winner.
Jonathan, while congratulating the governor, said Wike was the star of the election because he impressed people of the state during his first term.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, Jonathan described Wike as a good and courageous leader.
According to Jonathan: “Governor Wike stood firmly. He was courageous. He was a good leader. I urge you to continue with your good works.
“If you did not impress Rivers people, you wouldn’t have received support. Wike tried. He brought unity and physical development to the state.”
Wike worked as Minister of Education for state under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
