What seems to be the new trend on the political scene in Edo is spreading as the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has named AAC member Hon Edith Ihueghian Isokpan as the running mate to Dr Azemhe Azena, the NNPP Governorship Candidate in the upcoming election in Edo state.
This is coming a few days after the PDP-led Government of Edo State picked a Labour Party member as the deputy governor.
However, the State Party leadership disclosed this to the party faithful and the general public on Saturday after the party had thoroughly screened it in the previous weeks.
Hon Edith Isokpan, who hails from Obadan in Uhunmwode Local Government of EDO South, was a former Governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2020 Governorship election in Edo state.
Edith was born on May 8th, 1975.
Hon Isokpan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government and public administration from Imo State University and a Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy from the prestigious University of Lagos.
