The 2024 governorship election in Edo State is currently going on across the eighteen local government areas.
General situation reports say the exercise is going on seamlessly.
At Oredo Ward 6,7 and some units in Ward 2, eligible voters were observed carrying out their civic responsibility.
The situation was not different in Ikpoba okha as the situation went on unhindered.

Ovia North East and South West Local Government Areas also recorded free exercise.
The rain, however, didn’t deter the voters from coming out in large numbers to exercise their franchise.
However, there was a hitch in Ward 2 Iguobazuwa West, where some PDP members allege to be beaten and chased away by thugs, thereby preventing them from voting.
The situation was later brought under control by some police who disperse the alleged thugs with teargas.
It was also observed that most centres completed their voting as early as noon
.
Some voters said the process went well as the exercise went smoothly.
While commending INEC, however, I hope the process will end in such a good way as it started.
Some voters in Ovia South West, however, allege unnecessary involvement of some policemen who they claim have arrested some top PDP leaders at the directive of a deputy governorship candidate.
Collation is expected to commence immediately after the voting time frame ends.
