The Governor Of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo says his administration’s quest for all-round development of the state has been made feasible with the defection of seventeen local government council Chairmen into the APC.
Gov. Okpebholo remarked after he joined leaders of the party to receive the acting local government council chairmen into the APC
The seventeen acting local government council chairmen who were former members of the PDP were formally received into the APC by the state APC Secretary, Lawrence Okah.
Acting Chairman, of Esan Central local government council, Kelvin Iyere who spoke on behalf of others assured they will work in line with Gov. Okpebholo’s vision and mandate for the overall development of their areas.
Gov. Okpebholo in a remark assured them of equal opportunities while commending them for the bold decision to join him in the development of the state.
He described them as the authentic Local Govt. Council Chairman has been elected by councillors in their respective local government areas to join him and his Deputy Dennis Idahosa to deliver on their mandate.
The defection was witnessed by top government functionaries, members of EDHA party leaders, councillors and supporters of the new APC members.
