The Governor Of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has Inaugurated a nineteen-member transition committee to ensure a smooth handover of his administration.
The committee, chaired by a former state Commissioner for Finance, Mr Joseph Eboigbe, had other members joining online.
The Inauguration of the nineteen-member transition committee is coming four months to the end of the Godwin Obaseki-led administration and is in line with global best practices.
The team has, among other mandates, to document the achievements of the administration eight years ago.
In a remark, Gov. Obaseki tasked the Joseph Eboigbe-led team to retrieve and document activities, policies, and decisions of his administration over the last eight years in a digital format as an institutional memo with recommendations for the next administration.
Chairman of the Committee, Joseph Eboigbe, promised that the committee would discharge their duty with diligence, assuring them of working hard to meet the timeline of their responsibility.
The nineteen-member transition committee, committed to their task, has set 30th October as the deadline to submit their report, well ahead of the end of the Godwin Obaseki-led administration in November.
