A former senator who represented Edo South senatorial Districts in the National Assembly, Senator Ehigie Uzamere has lambasted a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Adams Oshiomhole over his comments against Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
Senator Uzamere, who was in the senate between 2007-2015 said Oshiomhole has proven over time that he is an unserious minded person.
Oshiomhole had said while campaigning for the Governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s, said: “I said so many things against Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. Yes I did, because I was trying to sell Obaseki. You cannot be selling Toyota and be promoting Mercedes but fortunately, Obaseki was a very bad Product”.

But while responding to the statement on Monday, Uzamere said nobody takes the former governor of Edo state seriously anymore.
“These are your words Adams Oshiomhole and even a ten year old kid can conclude you are not a serious minded person. You were campaigning for a governor to rule over the affairs of thousands of humans – Edo citizens and residents of Edo State, and you chose to trifle. And you are still prancing around. Talk is really cheap.
“I don’t know what you take leadership for. But any right thinking person, knows that leadership is God’s trust bestowed on some, to take earthly care of very many others.
“Your utterances do not cast you in the mould of a leader. At the best, you remain at the level of a rabble rouser where uncouth behavior reigns.
“Anyone encouraging your infantile behavior encourages your descent, into the abyss of nonentity.
“You were once a labour leader, a two time governor and recently national chairman of a ruling party. Don’t you think these are enough to make you a matured mind and raise you above the ranks of agberos? I’m just asking.
“And back to your quote, in view of the world economic meltdown occasioned by Covid-19, majority of Edo citizens and residents would definitely prefer a Toyota which is easier and cheaper to maintain, to your expensive Mercedes which only you and a few of your followers can afford, ” he said.
