The embattled National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole held a meeting with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

The meeting held 24 hours after the Appeal Court ordered a stay of execution of the order of the FCT High Court suspending him as the Chairman.

While holding a meeting with the executives of the APC at the party secretariat in Abuja, Oshiomhoe said the rift was expected in a party as large as the ruling party.

On resolving the issue in the party, Oshiomhole assured the members that APC is united and not split and will remain an instrument for the development of Nigeria.

He said parties that are pro-people usually have more challenges than conservative parties.

Oshiomhole acknowledged that as a human being, he makes a mistake, but his sincerity of purpose cannot be denied.

The Chairman expressed willingness to reconcile his style of leadership with other members to work together for the benefit of the party.

He thanked the judiciary for the judgement that overturned the high court ruling, saying internal conflicts must be settled internally.

Meanwhile, the hearing of the motion on notice has been fixed for Friday the 20th of March, 2020.
