Lagos state government appoints MC Oluomo to head Committee

The Lagos State Government has selected Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, an ex-head of the state's chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, as the chairman of its Parks Management Committee.

Hakeem Odumosu, a former Assistant Inspector General of Police, has been designated as the government's liaison officer with the committee.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, issued a press statement titled "Lagos govt sets up Parks Management Committee."

Dr. Taiwo Salaam, an ex-Permanent Secretary, was also named as the committee's secretary, with Sulyman Ojora as the Deputy Chairman.

Members of the committee will report to the Ministry of Transportation, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. The Government on March 10 suspended NURTW operations in all parks and garages, following the tension sparked by some events in the union.”
