Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the director of MURIC, noted that Sanwo-Olu's performance in his first term was impressive and that the people of Lagos State should support him in the upcoming gubernatorial election on March 11.

"Sanwo-Olu is the best option and we urge Lagosians, regardless of religious background, to give him their votes," Akintola said. He highlighted Sanwo-Olu's accomplishments in critical areas, including the construction of more than 308 roads, the development of the red and blue rail lines, the revamping of water transport with high-capacity boats, and the quick and effective handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, which earned him praise from the World Health Organization.

Akintola also urged Muslim voters in Lagos to put aside religious differences and consider Sanwo-Olu's impressive record, noting that "a vote for Sanwo-Olu is a vote for Tinubu, his mentor." He added that Sanwo-Olu had issued instructions for the issuance of a hijab circular in the state, demonstrating his commitment to religious freedom.

"We therefore implore the good people of Lagos to troop out en masse to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu," he concluded.
