The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced some local government results of the Edo State governorship election which was held yesterday, the 28th of September, 2016.
The Commissioner announced the suspension of results earlier due to the delay of result submission in eight local Government Areas before it begins announcement.

So far, the All Progressives Congress is leading while some wards may be cancelled by the INEC due to violence and snatching of ballot boxes.

Meanwhile some youths are reported outside INEC protesting the expected result as they claimed that Adams Oshiomhole the governor of Edo State imposed Godwin Obaseki on them.
