The speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to reports, the speaker was detained on Thursday about 9 am at Lagos' Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
He allegedly ignored invitations from the commission and was subsequently hauled to the anti-graft agency's Lagos office for questioning regarding alleged financial offenses.
EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren has not yet responded to questions regarding the arrest.
