The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole has rejected the Christmas gifts from the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
The Special adviser to Edo State Government on Media and Communications disclosed this on Wednesday in Benin.
The spokesman said Oshiomhole sent the conventional Christmas gift which is reserved for former governors back to the governor.

He said the gifts were dispatched through a messenger on Christmas eve.
“The messengers said they met the mother of the former governor who rejected the items, stating that her son would not accept the gifts.
“The gift items meant for Comrade Oshiomhole include four cows and ten bags of rice”.
Osagie said the Christmas gift was an annual ritual the government uses to express love to officials of the government to straighten relationships between the government and the people.
He said the government also gives gift to other government functionaries, heads of security agencies, political appointees, religious leaders, traditional rulers and heads of institutions of higher learning.
Obaseki and Oshiomhole have been at loggerhead over the future of Edo State which had led to factions in the All Progress Congress in Edo State.
Osagie said Obaseki set aside the political rift between him and the former governor to perform the ritual of sending the gifts to Adams Oshiomhole.
