Obviously, all is not well in the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State after one of the aspirants, Mr. Osaro Onaiwu launched an attack on a fellow contender, Pastor Ize-Iyamu for saying that he is the only one capable of taken on the governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole.

An insider who didn’t want his name mentioned spoke with NAIJA CENTER NEWS on Thursday concerning the internal divisions among the aspirants.

The belief that other aspirants who washed out of the primaries may support the flag flier may not be feasible  as there are plans to betray one of the aspirants who they claimed is high headed.

Speaking with NAIJA CENTER NEWS on why Onaiwu attacked Ize-Iyamu, the source gave two reasons why the aggrieved aspirant pounced on his perceived enemy.

According to the information gathered by NAIJA CENTER NEWS, Onaiwu is aware that he may not cross the primaries, and Ize-Iyamu crossed the line with the statement credited to him.

“Onaiwu knowing he may not make it in the primaries may have decided to take on Ize-Iyamu. He made very factual revelations.

The source also revealed that since Chief Anenih made a statement that he would not support any candidate with a scandal, the atmosphere has been tensed.

The insider said ” The truth is this. all hell went loose after Chief Anenih’s statement where he gave the conditions for who he may support in the race. What you are seeing is a reaction to that. Chief Anenih clearly spelled out that he will support only a credible candidate without scandal.

“Now, other aspirants have been campaigning on their credibilities and integrities while Pastor Iyamu campaigns on his ruggedity and ability to take on the government. In the process, he crossed the line and Mr. Onaiwu felt offended.

“In all and if we must be truthful to ourselves and the party, Pastor Iyamu is least qualified amongst all of the aspirants. He boasts of being a mass mobilizer but like Mr. Onaiwu rightly pointed out, he could not deliver his local government for the PDP in the last election which is even a condition to contest the gubernatorial race according to the PDP’s constitution.

Mr. Onaiwu is angry that Pastor Iyamu is claiming victory for the collective efforts of others when he did not deliver. In that election, for example, one of the present aspirant’s Local government was the least funded because Pastor Iyamu realizing that he may be his biggest opponent told the PDP that with Samson Osagie as APC candidate, there was little or nothing to be done to prevent a ‘certain’ Samson Osagie’s victory.

“The aspirant saw through this and provided the money to ensure Osagie’s defeat. Uhroghide went to the re-run in Orionwon with almost 30,000 extra votes and almost lost. Larry Ogieva was not as lucky as Uroghide. His surplus votes were swallowed and he lost.

“Ize-Iyamu is boastful, arrogant and deceitful. Forget about his acclaimed support. It will be difficult for him to be nominated. As it stands now, there is the subtle fear that he will not enjoy the cooperation of other aspirants in the unlikely event that he wins the nomination. This is the greatest undoing.

“I sense a gang up by the other three to stop him but no matter how close you are to them, they are not revealing anything even though I can swear that the three meet regularly.

“Pastor Iyamu’s candidacy will tear the party to shreds and his Boastful supporters are not helping issues at all.”
