..Says Meant To Distract Members By Factional Members
Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has denounced the donation of a building to the party on Wednesday by the factional member Chief Dan Orbih, describing it as a ploy to distract the party faithful.
Chairman of the Caretaker Committee in the state, Anthony Aziegbemi, made the clarification while addressing journalists at the PDP secretariat in Benin City.

On Wednesday 16th of April, a PDP bigwig, Chief Dan Orbih, inaugurated a secretariat tagged as one for the PDP.
However, the Leadership of the party in Edo described the act as laughable and a calculated attempt to deceive the people.
In his reaction, the PDP Edo State caretaker committee chairman, Dr Tony Aziegbemi, noted that the party has relocated to a new secretariat since March after the ruling APC forcefully evicted it from its previous location.
Anthony Aziegbemi wonders aloud as to the sincerity of the donation of a building, which was previously given out to be used as a campaign office by the APC in the build-up to the September 21, 2024, governorship election.
Aziegbemi also claims that the donor, Dan Orbih, ’s tenure as National Vice Chairman, South-South, has since expired.
The PDP caretaker committee chairman, however, wants the party faithful to remain focused as the PDP is hopeful of regaining victory at the appellate court after the tribunal verdict affirmed Senator Monday Okpebholo as Governor.
