The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party has asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the September 10 governorship poll, Mr. Godwin Obaseki to explain his role in the alleged N5.5bn fraudulent dealings involving real estate development, a company wherein he holds a substantial share.
The party’s statement followed a petition on the floor of the lower chamber seeking investigation of the APC candidate.
The state chairman of PDP Chief Dan Orbih in a press conference today, Sunday June 26, 2016 advised Edo people to be wary of persons who criminally appropriate company assets as they will do same to government’s assets.
Chief Dan Orbih displayed documents from the corporate affairs commissions, the petition to EFCC and many others to establish a case of fraudulent behavior against the APC candidate.
He therefore called on APC candidate to clear himself of the alleged criminal offence before embarking on campaigns as the allegation is too weighty.
