The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied planning to cause the arrest of PDP leaders in Rivers State as the forthcoming rerun elections approach as alleged by the PDP at a press conference on Monday.
“The APC is a political party and therefore has nothing to do with security matters. That is the duty of security agencies.

The opposition party in the state recalled that the PDP has made such spurious claims in the past especially before the last rerun elections on March 19, 2016 but no such things happened.
“We suspect that this is a red herring by the PDP to conceal or divert attention from some insidious and mischievous plans by the PDP and the Rivers State Government to undermine the forthcoming rerun elections” the APC declared.
The APC called on Rivers people to be alert to the tricks of the PDP and reject them come July 30, 2016, as the party equally called on security agencies especially the Nigeria Police not to allow themselves to be blackmailed by the antics of Gov.
