The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has maintained that Ali Modu Sheriff and his co travellers are agent of the APC.
In a statement signed on Monday by the National Publicity Secretary Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the party insisted that they are paid by the Ruling Party, the All Progressives Congress to destabilize the party, adding that it is now evident that they are profiting from the conflict the party is engulfed in.

PDP wondered why Sheriff would gloat over the alleged rigging that took place n Edo, Ondo and now Rivers state if they were true members of the party.
The main opposition stressed that Sheriff and his men have never spoken in favour of the party against the ruling party.
PDP added: “The latest outburst of these enemies of electoral and democratic processes no doubt, must be at the prompting of their sponsors who want to use them to divert attention from the electoral heist in Rivers State.
“Let the general public note that Sherriff and his cohorts have never for once spoken for the Party against the APC nor have they at anytime defended the interest of the Party in any way. All they have always done is to constitute a source of distraction, nuisance and irritation for us at very critical times. Quite unfortunate!”
