Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, is not a native of Lagos State, according to Chief Bode George of the Peoples Democratic Party.
On Tuesday morning, George appeared on Arise TV’s Morning Show and spoke about Tinubu’s candidacy and the PDP’s internal issues.

He claims that the APC candidate has not demonstrated his Lagos ancestry beyond a reasonable doubt and has not offered any proof to back up his assertion.
“Tinubu is not from Lagos State,” he declared. I’ll be quoted. Which school did you attend if the person claims to have grown up in Isale-Eko? On Lagos Evans Street, I was raised.
He further reacted to the crisis rocking the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stating that since the formation of the party almost 25 years ago, the North-Central, which currently holds the position of the national chairman, had predominantly occupied the position of the party’s leadership.
In his words, “It is not a solution that cannot be handled. All we are saying is give what belongs to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. Give us what belongs to us. Turn by Turn Nigeria Limited. Take, for example, what I am angry about this; the first chairman was the late Papa Solomon from North-Central. The second chairman, North-Central. The third chairman, Audu Ogbe, North-Central. The fourth chairman, my oga, Dr. Amadu Ali, North-Central; Baraje, from Kwara, was also North-Central. Now you have Ayu, also North-Central.
