The All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu has been named the victor of the Benue State presidential election held on Saturday.
With 310,468 votes, Tinubu outperformed Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who received 308,372 votes.
In addition, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party received 4,740 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party received 130,081 votes, placing him in a distant third.

2,772,977 people were registered to vote in total, and 840,189 people were accredited to vote.
A total of 797,762 votes were cast, with 770,075 legitimate votes and 27,687 invalid votes being counted.
However, some social media users from Benue state have vented their anger over the announcement of results in the state, claiming it was a daylight robbery. "In my area, we all voted Labour Party, my people never voted for APC," a commenter stated.
