The former Ekiti House of Assembly Speaker was impeached on Monday. He however stated that he doesn’t know why the members of the state parliament decided to act in that manner other than trying to do the bidding of former Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Aribisogan had charged Kayode Fayemi, the immediately preceding governor of the state, with conspiring with state legislators to remove him from office on Monday.

According to Aribisogan on Channels Television, “the bulk of members of Assembly voted for me, but some of those who believed possibly I did not follow the directive of the former governor, Dr Fayemi, feared that they would make the state ungovernable for even the administration.”
“I didn’t argue with him in any way” (Fayemi). Even last night, I texted him and asked, “What’s going on? Am I no longer your devoted follower? Why didn’t you offer me congratulations?
