England came from a goal down to beat African side DR Congo 2-1 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on Wednesday evening to reach the round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

DR Congo, making a return to the tournament since 1974 when they were known
as Zaire, scored first through Brian Cipenga.

Bayern Munich star Harry Kane, however, equalised in the 75th minute with a great finish.

With four minutes left to play, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker scored an even better goal as he turned brilliantly inside the box, found space and unleashed a thunderous strike to the top right corner.

The Three Lions will face Mexico in their round-of-16 clash at 1 am local time on Monday.
