The duo of Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi will work with a new manager following the sacking of Sean Dyche by Nottingham Forest on Thursday.
The former Burnley and Everton boss spent 4 months (114 days) in charge of the onetime European champions.
Forest were held to a 0-0 draw by bottom-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night in the Premier League.
Forest is now just five points and one place above the relegation places.
Dyche is the third manager to have been relieved of his job at the club after Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou in the 2025/2026 season.
Reports monitored in some sections of the British newspapers on Thursday indicate that former Wolves head coach Viktor Perriera could be installed as the new man in the saddle.
