FIFA Secretary-General Fatma Samoura in Kenya

FIFA Secretary-General Ms. Fatma Samoura, on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, arrived in Kenya for a two-day visit, announced the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

Today she will grace the finals of the inaugural CAF Women Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, outskirts of Nairobi.

She will witness the crowning of the region’s first-ever representative to the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Ms. Samoura is also expected to hold talks with football leadership in the country.

“We welcome the FIFA Secretary-General to Kenya. W e look forward to hosting her and engaging her about the development of the game in Kenya,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.

Ms. Samoura is accompanied by FIFA’s Chief Women’s Football Officer, Sarai Bareman.
