FIFA U20Q: Kenya takes on Uganda on Saturday

On Saturday, September 25, 2021, Kenya will host their neighbours Uganda in the second round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women World Cup Qualifiers.

The match will kick-off at 3 pm EAT at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi, with the second leg slated for October 8 in Kampala.

The winner of the tie on aggregate will face the winner of the second-round tie pitting Mozambique against South Africa.

Kenya’s head coach Charles Okere is optimistic the team can pick a positive result from the encounter.

Ugandan players jetted into the country on Thursday ahead of the duel.

Kenya’s provisional squad:

Goalkeepers: Ursula Nasimiyu, Valentine Khwaka (Zetech Sparks), Lucy Kisaga

Edith Auma, Sophy Akinyi.

Defenders: Veronica Awino, Peris Oside, Mercy Masika, Joyce Andeo, Eunice Mwangi, Invioleta Mukoshi, Lucy Kahuga, Martha Simiyu, and Redempta Mercy.

Midfielders: Medina Abubakar, Drailer Salome, Lydia Akoth ks), Maximilla Robi, Milka Awino, Catherine Aringo, Jane Hato, Lavender Akinyi, and Mildred Kanyisi.

Forwards: Fasila Adhiambo, Elizabeth Muteshi, Sylvia Makungu, Shirlyne Opisa, Charity Midewa, Joy Kinglady, and Catherine Kizito.
